Served in a small footed glass used for mixed drinks. This "Strong Golden" as it was described to me looks more like a Belgian Dark. The color is medium red-brown with a small head. The head does dissipate to a tiny table and there is no lace. Some Belgian yeast in the nose, but mainly a somewhat mild malt. While there is nothing really unpleasant in the taste, it did seem that there were some unfermented sugars present. This was more than just a little candi hit. Mouthfeel was thin. Easy going enough to have a couple, even the sweetness could be tolerable if it were a bit more malt flavored. Hopefully I'll be back through here to try other beers when they're available.

The body is a medium amber brown. Its really too dark to qualify for its name. The head is large and frothy, just like Id expect for the style. The nose is very bubblegummy with only a bit of clove underneath. Theres also not much alcohol in the aroma. Caramel, malty flavor. The body is a bit thin, but this is tasty. Not sure it really has that Belgian strong character, but the yeast flavors are interesting.
