I came across this beer at a local supermarket, the only place I've ever found it. The price intrigued me since it was a craft beer and I wouldn't be out too much if it wasn't a beer worth coming back for later.

Good from the bottle or the glass, there is a small head when poured. Yes, malt is the best first description. It comes out in the smell and that first taste. However, it sits well in your mouth and goes down even better. It isn't overly complex but it is full of a good, subtle flavor and is refreshing when you are thirsty.

This amber ale was an old standby until my recent trips to the store when I could no longer find it. Bummer.

Nice dark reddish-brown, didn't really hold a head. Nothing really noticeable on the nose. Malty and lightly hoppy. Really bloody smooth finish, cold and crisp. The taste is nothing special but as crisp and smooth as it is, it's a pleasure.

Dark amber, almost brown. Slight haze. While this isn't a beer style that could be considered 'going out on a limb', it could be said Golden Pacific has taken a very basic beer style and gave it a little punch. Has all your typical characteristics, sweet and malty, smooth textured. Easy to drink.
