Bottle ; brown glass unlike other reviews. Clear gold. Thin looking with no head.
A grainy malt smell with stewed vegetable hops which continues into the flavour.
Watery feel. A bit of Burton snatch.
I can't believe a Burton craft brewery has produced this and claimed it as an Imperial IPA.

I don't know if I had a 'off' bottle, but after a hoppy flavour, there is a taste of water which has been stagnant in a water supply. The beer is crystal clear, so this taste could be from the water for the beer. Besides that, IPA? I don't think so. Just tastes like a bland bitter. Very disappointed.

A 500ml clear glass bottle with a BB of Dec 2014, so it's a little out of date. Purchased a while back from a B&M store. Described as a golden, hoppy pale ale with a dry finish.
A: Poured into a straight pint glass. A clear golden hue with plentiful carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before settling as a persistent surface layer. Some lacing.
S: Aroma of pale malt with hints of grass/hay, subtle grain, fruity yeast esters, faint stewed leaves and a sulphurous twang. S'OK.
T: Tastes of light malt and grassy hops with a dry, bitter finish. Notes of grain, pale malt, grass/hay, fruity yeast esters, stewed hops and a hint of sulphur. Well-attenuated, followed by a crisp bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with effervescent carbonation and decent body. Slightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of fruity ale yeast, grassy hops, mild grain and leafy bitterness.
O: A pleasant ale that is surprisingly moreish. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour are light, grassy and underpinned by yeast esters. A satisfyingly crisp bitterness. Body is alright. Not really an IPA as we know them today; the hop character is too subtle. However, this is very drinkable and slides down all too easily. The Burton snatch also appears to be present. Tasty and worth sampling if you come across it.

Pale amber clear body with Frothy white head that flattens quickly leaving a few stray bubbles round the edge of the glass.
Roma is the strange hop smell that resembles sweat mixed with freshly opened liquorice allsorts
Big malt and bitter finish the hops are like a stewed underlying a nice mix that is drinkable and un-offensive just not great
Good mouthfeel, drinkable but not flimsy, slightly over lively on the carbonation.
Perhaps The clear bottle has wiped out some off the taste complexity??
