Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

A - Pours a golden brown color with a light amount of haze. Small head a a very little bit a lacing.

S - Heavy on the spice. Bananas, clove, and nutmeg dominate. Very sweet smelling.

T - Err, same as the nose. The spice and fruit absolutely dominate the texture of this beer, making it hard to decern much of any other aspect of the beer. Maybe that's the point of this 9% abv beer.

M - A little on the syrupy side, but not too bad. Not great either.

D - Eh, I'll look elsewhere first.

Enjoyd this beer on tap at the brewery. Poured golden with an orange tint to it. Small head that didn;t last long. Very clear. Light aroma of orange with maybe a hint of spice to it. Noticeable fruitiness to the flavor with orange the most prevalent, balanced slightly by coriander or pepper?. Alcohol warmth not prevalent. Really enjoyed the taste of this beer and will come back for more.

12 oz bottle purchased at the brewery for $3.69, and taken home for later consumption. Not sure how long it was at the brewpub- it was sitting next to bottles of fruit (raspberry?) beer made for the Valentine's Day season, and this was mid-May. But a big beer like this should last well enough, right?

Pours a nice golden/orange into my DeKoninck bolleke, with a small head that fades quickly, although it is barely kept alive by small amounts of carbonation.

Aroma is not very strong, but it's a nice combination of sweet orange and light peppery spices.

Flavor is mostly fruity, but the pepper announces itself sharply along with other yeasty notes at the end of the swallow. Makes for a pleasant heat at the end. Mouthfeel is a little sharp.

Overall a nice version of the style; I'd gladly try it again!

Had this on draft at the Brew It Up in downtown Sacramento. After finishing the Cap'n Ron Double IPA, I asked the barkeep which was better, the Nitte Witte (proclaimed as an "imperial witte") or this. He gave me a samples of both. After sipping both, the witte was almost unpalatable and this tasted good. You get the point.

For a Belgian Strong Ale, 3 Amigos is a dumb name. But that's not of much importance since the beer is decent. The pale, hazy color golden color had little to any head. Aromas that hit me were the sweet, sugary with slight maltiness. The taste was nice - not terribly complex but it did everything it was supposed to - I can enjoy when a beer hits the marks.

There's only the faintest hiss on opening, and this is bottle conditioned. Low carbonation? How long has it been on the shelf?

Pours a clear and pale gold with one finger white head with lowish retention.

The aroma is all big, sour fruit esters with a bit of bread and a bit of cider vinnegar. Weird.

First sip... Oh man this is weird. Big sour apple. Sour caramel apple. Sour caramel apple cider. There's a slight hint of funk, and no noticable hopping. An interesting take on a BSPA, but I'm not sure it's not a misguided one. I'll certainly drink more, but this ranges quite far from the legion of Duvel clones out there that make up the bulk of the BSPA population
