Handpump halfpint at the Southampton Arms.
A: Clear russet body with a thin layer of fine off-white head. Light lace. Ok.
S: Plenty of coffee, some faint fruitiness, and straight malt. The coffee dominance is very intriguing. I like it.
T: Piquant coffee, sweet toffee, breadiness, and a fairly long, bittersweet finish. Quite tasty.
M: Light and lively, with lots of smooth carbonation for a cask pour. Very nice.
O: I really do enjoy a nice Dark Mild, and this one hits the spot. It has plenty of interesting flavors, and yet goes down with the greatest of ease. Good stuff.
