Mostly clear golden appearance with a white cap. Dunkel lager huh? Yikes. Sweet bread is the primary aroma and flavor. Faint grassy hops in the taste adds something I guess. It isn't offensive, bloated or macro, just has no depth, plain is better than bad though. Paired well with lebanese food!

When I first saw this beer in one of the Heineken fridges, i thought hmm, let's try it out in the hope that it tasted better than their supposed pilsner. Unfortunately for beer drinkers, disappointment was the first reaction. Whilst the beer looks great, the taste is extremely weak, and the feel of it is all wrong. Smell however does make up for some of the disappointment.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
A: Dark amber colour, with a nice off-white head, which fades fairly quickly and leaves minimal lacing. Clear of sediment
S: Clean, strong malts combined with a slight bitterness of noble hops. Fairly sweet. Slight hint of the alcohol to come.
T: This is where it falls off somewhat. Taste is fully bodied and extremely malty, but tastes like the cheap high-gravity "ice" varieties of malt liquors.
M: At only 1% higher abv than its cousin, the normal Almaza euro lager, the boozy taste comes through in a surprisingly major way. Very unappetizing.
Overall: It looks and smells much better than it is once its in your mouth. Disappointing, and seems like the company didn't put much effort into this expansion of their beer portfolio.
