No garlic, very expensive, gimmick. Beer itself is just a slightly mediocre red ale

Bottle. Mid amber. Thick frothy head.
A mild aroma of sweet caramel malt and earthy English hops.
Tastes similar. Light bitter at the end.
Light to medium body. Gentle carbonation.
Where's the garlic?

Look: dark brown to amber colour with 1 finger head, not much carbonation
smell: quite malty and like a british bitter, no garlic smell at all.
taste: again very similar to a classic bitter, but with a very slight garlic taste, which is disappointingly weak but at least it's not so strong with garlic taste it's unpleasant.
Feel: Normal British Bitter mouthfeel, little fuller than london pride.
Overall: A decent bitter but lacking in the garlic flavour that I wanted to taste.

A pungent aroma of Garlic, followed faintly by a musky scent of hop. The garlic smell is not unpleasant, yet feels confusingly out of place for a beer
Dark amber in colour, murky, perhaps due to being bottled and served with a whole clove of garlic. A big greasy head which leaves an oily mark upon the glass as it disappates.
A not unpleasant bitter flavour, followed by a hint of garlic, however it feels rather greasey in the mouth. The aftertaste upon swallowing is an evident and bold garlic flavour. After having a bit to drink and become accustomed to the bizarre flavour, one can begin to taste more hop and barley notes.
Overall, I would not label this as a seriously enjoyable beer. It is drinkable, but it's value is more as a novelty piece. I would recommend trying it if presented the chance if visiting the Isle of Wight where it is locally brewed, but don't expect to fall in love with it.

Interesting beer sold on the Isle of wight.
Appearance, no head. Brown colored. I think the oil in the garlic keep the head down.
Smell, garlic hits you in the nose when you wiff this beer. No other aromas discernable.
Taste, unbelievable and distinct garlic flavor dominates the flavor w. There are no other flavors that I can tell.
Mouthfeel, oily and average.
Overall, N interesting beer that is not much to my liking. I do not think that I would have this again.
