A very pale beer brewed with Cascade Hops. Well balanced and a delicious hoppy bite.

Cask pint: hand-pulled in a local pub (The Crown Inn, Oakengates; Shropshire). The Gertie Sweet tag is being used by Jack Hanby (ex of Hanby Ales) as he uses the brewing equipment at Plassey now his own brewery has closed
This light, pale ale looked a bright golden colour. The head; which left ample lacing, was snow white and full.
The nose and taste were very interlinked: perfumed sweet lemon cake with yeast! Digestive biscuits used in the base of this imaginary cake with some pronounced hop bitterness towards the end of each sip.
Interesting and slightly different, I almost enjoyed it.
