Orangey amber with a nice white head of fluffy foam. Head retention is decent...lacing ensues. Aromas are fresh floral hops and some nice biscuity malt. Taste is a nice balance of malts and hops in good unison. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, drinkability is good. A little bland, but solid.

Appearance - Nice bubbly head with good retention. Pale orangish amber color.
Smell - Floral hoppy aroma is prominent. Malt smell is present, but is not as strong as the hops.
Taste - Bitter, the way a good American Pale Ale ought to be. Bitterness has first seat, but the malt balances the hops to the extent necessary to make it fit the style.
Mouthfeel - Solid but not overbearing body. This beer is well crafted and very pleasing.
Drinkability - Very drinkable, if hops are your thing. If you are not a hophead, you should still be able to appreciate this beer.
Comments - I had this one out of a growler I brought home from Austin. It was remarkably fresh and tasty, and I recommend it to everyone.

One of the better of the 4 beers I had at Bitter End this week. Appearance is a nice amber, head is average. Smell is strong of piney hops with a whiff of sweetness. Taste starts of strongly piney but quickly mixes nicely with the medium-sweet malts. Reminds me a lot of Anchor Liberty Ale, except more pine flavor. This was an enjoyable beer, but perhaps just a little hoppy for me. I have found other beers of this style that I enjoy more.
