Enjoyed on cask at Volo Cask Days 2010, th Bar Volo verion. Nice hops for a mild. Like a mild stout, with the roastiness. Mouthfeel below average, but may not be on tap. Dark brown colour.Good drinkability and the low abv can be appreciated anytime, needed session ale.

Had on cask during Toronto Beer Week. Dark brown colour with very thin tan head with spotty lacing. Smell has some roast and nuttiness with a hint of smoke (though maybe I'm crazy). Small amount of bitterness in the flavour. Mouthfeel was quite smooth. Quite a lot of flavour for 3.5%abv.

My understanding is that this is a tweaked recipe of the original mild served at 2009's cask days.
Arrives a dark brown, with a light tan head, which drops to a collar and leaves some spots of lace on the way. Light roast aroma, with nut and caramel. Light cocoa flavour, with toasted nuts and a touch of earth. Hopping is a bit more toned down than in the original version aand is much more in line with a traditional mild. Low carbonation is to par for the style, and it avoids becoming watery, which would be fatal in a mild.
It does seem a little tweaked, especially in the hopping, but by God it was sessionale. Even my CAMRA card toting father loved this one.
