On tap at the House Ales launch party at Volo, served in a tulip.
Pours black with a tan head that sticks around, some decent lacing. Thin layer of retention. Nose has chocolate, roast coffee grains and a fresh nugget of marijuana. So similar to the coffee, I found it difficult to differentiate the start of one and the end of the other, but it's there. Taste has some roasted notes as well, chocolate, spent coffee grains and again, a note that I can only relate to the liquid equivalent of chewing on a fresh nugget of dope. Not that I've done that. Or have I? Some interesting grain notes as well, with some weird spice qualities. Leafy hops and greenery in the finish. Mouthfeel is moderate, very mild in carbonation. Interesting offering, and certainly a unique flavour profile.

Day after House Ales Presents at Volo. Black with a small tan head, and very lacey. Stouty taste and roast up front, then hops open up. IBU of 60-70, hops shred palate slowly, of what seems Cascade and Saaz. Citrus and malt.Good for the style.Good drinkability.
