Deep ruby colour, one finger of off white head, good retention with tons of lace here. Smell is quite hoppy combined with a rich malt, lots of caramel and toffee, fruity with a bit of buttered dark bread as well. Taste is malty upfront with a bit of sweet caramel and toffee, lots of dank piney hops come in mid palate, mildly bitter all the way through, lots of fruit toward the finish, ripe berry with a fruit forward aftertaste. Medium carbonation, full chewey body, nice solid feel. Quite enjoyable, at times like a lighter american barleywine then at times like a malty nugget nectar, pretty good though.
