Comes in a tall brown half liter bottle with a stubby neck and a green, gold and white label featuring little more than writing. The name "Knyaz Gedemin" refers to a Lithuanian Prince Gedemin who ruled over Belarus some time in the 13th, 14th or 15th centuries. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 6/25/04, I opened it on 6/4/04.

Pours clear gold under a very good looking two finger white head with nice contour and significant retention, leaving good lacing down the glass. The nose is mild malt and metallic hop. The mouth is fairly prickly and medium-bodied. The taste has very little malt, as the metallic hops dominate from the beginning. This isn't really unpleasant, but it is a bit raw. There's a mildly bitter aftertaste that doesn't last very long. I'm not crazy about this beer, but it's OK.
