0.33l bottle into a tall almost straight tulip.
Subtle roast meat and roasted vegetable nose, carrots, celery, asparagus. Dominant bright fruity sweetness as it warms.
Limestone and green grapeskinn arrival. Bergamott development, sundrenched grain, river pebbles. Hint of alcohol, champange-mimmick soda pop. Dry finish with some more subtle citrus.
Beatiful haze.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Pale golden colour, large white head of good retention. Decent aroma of grassy and floral Saazer hops, with a hint of honey. The flavour has also nice presence of Saaz, but there is also a pleasant malty sweetness. Overall is this a fairly well balanced pilsener, above average for the style, and very refreshing when cold.

Out of the bottle at Molinari delicatessen in Chinatown, San Francisco, CA.
As me and Mrs Raul wait for some forza Italia sandwiches, I’m pretty stoked on this old world brew. Simply put, it’s nice and clean - unlike the main chick in “Nights of Calabria.” No behind the curtains romping on this one. Like a sailor washing the stench from a New York night off of him, this one is well good.

€2,50 @ Osteria del Sole, Bologna, IT
Without going into it too far, this is one of the worst beers I’ve had in recent memory. It’s certainly not the worst beer I’ve ever had but it’s not well done. There’s something off in the aroma and the bitterness is harsh. It’s otherwise fairly balanced but those flaws really hurt it.

Pours a clear, straw color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, slight sweet malt, hint of hop, and euro. yeast. Fits the style of a Czech Pilsener. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, slight sweet malt, euro. yeast, and a hint of hop. Overall, a decent example of the style; nothing extraordinary and nothing unexceptional.

330ml bottle served in a Weizen glass.
A: Pours a very clear pale yellow color forming big bubbled and soapy white head. Medium retention and tons of white soapy and lingering lacings left in the glass
S: Nice smell of sweet pale grains and hoppy and flowery Pilsener style hops. Probably Saaz hops. Crispy pale malts taste. In overall, a dry malty taste. Yeasts are very bready and low fermentation-like. A bit earthy too
T: Follows the nose, strong notes of pale grains in the upfront. Slightly sweet. Very bready. In overall, a dry and crispy taste. Could be a bit more hoppy but still not bad at all
M: Light body. Light carbonation. I this point, it lacks a bit of extra carbonation to the style. Hoppy flowery and mild bitter aftertaste
O: Smooth and quite drinkable beer. Another good surprise from Theresianer brewery

From Trieste. How interesting, it's the only city in Italy I've set foot in. Let's see what their pilsener is like.
Pours a very clear bright yellow gold. Quite pale, with a fine mottled top of white foam. Minimal lacing and body, although the carbonation is pleasantly fine. Yeah, not bad. retention and body are slightly lacking, but otherwise it's pretty good, stylistically.
Nose is grainy, with some hints of sweet adjuncts and only a breeze of grassy, haylike hops. Notes of honey and something sweetly floral, but the sweet characters really don't work for me.
Taste is a little better, with a clean, if somewhat empty palate, with touches of pilsner grain and a hint of metallic bite on the back. Clean and drinkable enough, and with much more character than the generic Euro Pale, if still lacking.
Pretty easy to drink. Pretty forgettable, though, as well.

This one pours a pale yellow color with a very nice, thick head. Good lace. The smell is fresh, with a grassy and pils malt aroma. There's some hop presence...a flowery and slightly herbal Saaz hop smell. Not bad, although it could be more pronounced. The taste is crisp and fairly bitter. Malt up front, but it could be a little more bready. Nice and very crisp and clean finish. This beer is a thirst quencher and moderately light in body. This is a fairly good pils, and better than expected.

Blonde, lightly veiled. White head, beautiful hat.
At the smell an herbal hop, with a background of maltiness.
Quite bitter at the taste, and also quite dry. Light notes f honey in the beginning, and a light cooked cereals note.
Honest and drinkable.
In the aftertast some herbal hop. Light in body.
