This one will probably be gone before you can get to Bristol to try it! It was brewed in January, but according to the brewer, Jason, they have added several dry hoppings, and it is prime - and in limited quantities. Come and meet Nick the Greek artist who specializes in photogravure - a great guy and very helpful. Since I wrote the review of last year's offering, Bristol has increased the alcohol level from 7% to 11%!! Hence, they will not fill you up a gallon jug to take with you! The smell is very faint, redolent of orange/citrus scent. The color a deep medium golden, but the taste!!! This beer was made with 30 count 'em - thirty different hops!! Sheesh! Overkill? I think not - though not for the faint of heart. There is something very special about this IPA - the pour was great - lots of foam, and a sticky lacing that hung around the entire time. The first taste was excellent! HOPPY but not too hoppy. Just right. Balanced with a faint orange kiss, toffee, butterscotch and faint malt - may be a tad 'mediciny' or syrupy or astringent for some. A clean, dry finish that no true IPA lover should miss.
