Thanks for sharing, Mark! Pours a murky red/amber color with a white head. Strong cherry aroma with some mild funk of straw and earth. A hint of vinegar, some sweetness of toffee and vanilla, and a bit of mustiness. The flavor is somewhat oxidized. Cherry and a few nondescript fruit flavors. Mild sweetness with some vinegar and lemon peel tartness. Light funk character, mostly earthy with a little bit of sweaty socks.

2004 bottle courtesy of scray24 shared at the December iteration of the Santa Cruz tasting series. Pours a muddy color with a disappearing tan head. Getting a lot of earthy mustiness coupled with some dark fruits and sourness. A little cheesy/sweaty at times. Old breads and fruits. Not bad for an ancient beer.

Pours a rich hazy brown with a thin tan head. The nose has sweet malts, oak, tart fruits and funk. The taste is mellow, but well balanced. A good amount of farmyard funk, musty oak and sour fruits over bready malts. Crisp body drinks well. Another good wild ale from Bristol.
