Sold on the domestic market in Kiev in a one liter brown plastic bottle with a fairly non-descript label. The name means "happy monk" and there's a depiction of one on the side. Rice and sugar are ingredients. Best before 3/23/04, I opened it on 1/25/04.

Clear reddish gold sits under a fizzy white head that loses even the collar in no time at all. The nose is sickly sweet, rather like boisenberry. The mouth is very prickly and heavy with sweet and alcohol. The taste mirrors the sweetness, while the alcohol kicks in from the start. Reminds me of a rum and coke. There are hops here, too, quite harsh and unpleasant. They dominate the aftertaste, but the alcohol doesn't fade quickly either. No, I'm not thrilled.
