Kiev 7/10 2018. 50 cl bottle from Billa Supermarket in mid-town. Smirking Monk on the label sporting a beer.
Pours clear yellow with medium-sized White head. Settles as thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is malty sweet with sharp, bitter sour notes. Lightly metallic.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with bitter sharp notes. Lingers for a while.
Heavy sweet strong beer. Fine if you need a fast boozy ride and a headache. Not much else.

Deep golden color. The aroma of caramel and alcohol. The taste is better than the aroma. Malty sweet with alcohol, and some bitterness in the finish

Once marketed in beautiful cone-top bottles with spiral-shaped pattern on the glass. Now - in regular brown ale bottles.
Pale yellow color, medium carbonation, big short-living head, some lace.
Smell very faint, uninspiring.
Taste complex but unbalanced. Alcohol well felt. Pale malts give way to strong bitter hops in the finish. Mouthfeel rough and not quite pleasant. Aftertaste - malty-hoppy, bitterish.
Typical Eastern European strong lager. Better avoid it.
