Enjoyed at the launch party of Pioneer's Organic India Pale Ale, and relaunch of their Bourbon Barrel Double Bock, both as year-round offerings.
Presented with a thin 1/4" beige head over the clear dark orangey-amber brew. Head fades quickly to small bubble coverage. Aroma is light, with biscuity malt and green hops pretty well balanced. Taste follows right along, pale malts at the forefront, quickly overcome by a somewhat sedate yet mouth-encompassing bitterness, carrying right on through the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is soft water smooth, and drinkability is great as well. A nice IPA, and if it's organic, all the better...
