Mellow and easy-drinking, our 6.3% NEIPA, Let’s Fly Away is a refreshing showcase of the softer side of the Citra hop. The light tropical citrus aroma yields to a pillowy mouthfeel and notes of orange before finishing with a kiss of lime. So, grab a glass and let’s fly away!

This may be the worst IPA that I’ve ever had!! Look is cloudy, golden color. Smell is citra with hint of pine. However, taste is almost rancid. Where’s the citra? Sorta like a piney taste, yet peppery taste that burns the roof/back of mouth. Very disappointed, and anything BUT smooth. 1 star

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head and some floaties.Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste is juicy, mango, citrus, a touch of pineapple, mild bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is murky straw, very thick looking, frothy head of medium bubbles presents but then dissipates to nothing except a feint ring along glass sides.
Smell is blend of citrus notes - mostly grapefruit, lighter lime and lemon notes; malt is present with light sweetness.
Taste is bitter pithy citrus, seems to grow with warmth, flavor is quite sharp with pithy citrus, maybe some stonefruit, bitterness.
Mouthfeel low/moderate carbonation, limited sweetness but seems full or unfermented completely, harsh biting bitterness and presence.
Overall a sharply bitter and uneven NEIPA - harsh hop flavors and presence, limited malt flavor but seems a bit full or under-fermented.

From a 16 oz can with a BB date of 07/31/20. Sampled May 2, 2020.
Definitely a milky looking hazy yellow pour. Looks pulpy with a bubbly head.
Big citrus and pineapple notes on the nose above the cereal or oat malt character.
Light to medium mouthfeel.
A lot of citrus juice in the flavor with a sort of tart grapefruit character. Mildly bitter finish.

Nearly opaque straw yellow pour with minimal head that leaves a ring. Looks so great in the sunlight. Aroma is a citrus blast, lots of orange as well as mango. Flavors follow with the addition of a mild pine note that complements well. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel - not at all watery for relatively low abv these days. Excellent burst of juiciness at the finish quickly fades to a non-bitter, slightly dry, very clean finish. Great stuff.

Poured into my Thermos mug for the Friday drive home taste. CVB leans on the citra that gives a tangy bite with this one. Not bad.

Can. Cloudy with lasting head and lace and lotsa chunky floaters, which are unappealing. Nice citrus aroma with hints of mango and grass. Similar medium sweetness with nice citrusy finish that doesn't get harsh because the carbonation is soft and medium light, not fizzy like a lot of NE IPAs. Excellent.
