Deep amber with a creamy tan head, Double Wasp is our take on a traditional Munich Doppelbock. This full-bodied 8% beauty is rich and toasty with subtle notes of molasses and dried fruit, finishing with a hint of caramel.

A pretty solid "American style" German Dopplebock.
Not overly hopped, which was very surprising, but hoppier than the Germans.
I'd buy it again if I could find it. Only saw it once.
Otherwise a solid brew.

From the tall boy can in a snifter. This fantastic dopple pours
a chill hazed dark mahogany with a wondrous head of tan foam that
settles to a thick ring and layer with excellent lacing. Nose of raisins,
dates, dark breaded malts, brown sugars, and subtle astringent booze.
Flavors nail it with dark raisin bread, dark brown sugars, faint herbal
hops, and a touch of toffee. Very nice mouth feel; medium body,
medium light carbonation that is light and prickly, lightly
coating, and a sweet lightly dry finish.
Not sure what more I could say other than it is the best
doppelbock I have had to date!
Cheers
