A thanks to Ben Roesch from Wormtown to sharing this growler with JLindros and myself when hanging out at the brewery one night. Reviewed from notes. Poured into a standard snifter.

A - Poured a slightly hazy coppery hue with a light, fizzy half a finger head. Not bad.

S - Ehh, aromas of older hops, almost like a skunky beer with some cardboard.

T - Taste is uhh..well...wtf mate. Did a hooker swish this in her mouth then dribble it through her palms into my glass? No, seriously, this is pretty bad with no redeeming qualities aside from "hey, its beer". Older, dank hops with an almost spoiled hop resin after taste intermingled with cardboard. Argh. Is this malt extract?!

M - Mouthfeel is lowly carbonated, thin, almost flaccid. Just ehhh.

O - Overall I had much higher hopes from a brewery a touch under 30 minutes from my house. I'm not sure if this is just a bad example or what but this had some serious, serious issues. Definitely wasn't lagered well. I was not nearly as forgiving as JLindros was.

Thanks to Ben and Ben for sharing.

Light fizzy head, hazy honey orange beer.

Nose light malts, what wants to be lager aromas but not really, light grassy hops, little skunky hops.

Taste light malts vegetal hops, light herbal, light rancid oil, just a touch of crisp lager, little earthy dusty malt and hop flavor. Malts are more extract like, falls short. Finish is decent bitter but more icky lager flavors, somewhat macro like.

Mouth is med to lighter bodied.

Overall not that great, seems like they tried to rush the lager, adding some extract like malts, and doesn't seem lagered very well. The recent beers from Pioneer are much better quality than this I think which falls short of the expectations I've been getting from them.
