The perfect marriage of form and function… fashion and comfort… beauty and beast. The Yoga Pants truly has it all; easy drinking and respectable flavor. Not too bitter and hopped with only the sexiest varietals, sophisticated malt profile and brazen hoppiness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours pale straw with white head. Aroma and taste is of tropical fruit, grain and citrusy hops. Long dry finish. Refreshing brew.

Billed as an APA but seems to be a bit more hoppier. Nonetheless, average in the wide spectrum of pale ale. This one seems to approach an IPA in style.

everyone loves yoga pants right, girls and guys alike, we are all fans. not sure i see how the name applies here, unless its a light, post workout type of beer, which i guess makes sense. golden and light in color, i think the listing as an english pale is a bit off, as there is not nearly a big enough malt build, hop or yeast profile for that style, and it has some real haziness to it, almost a hazy session or something. i get mostly pils and pale two row type grain from this but there could be some wheat, with a little grassy hopping on the back end and bright citrus too, a clean and well designed dry session ale that should have as broad appeal as yoga pants do. an all season beer though, as its got a little body, and enough flavor to stand up to the fall and winter as well as the warmer weather when refreshment value is paramount. i had the pleasure of meeting the folks responsible for this beer, and they were super nice, funny, and humble, which always makes the beer taste better in my mouth. a style that doesnt move me much, but its done well enough that i am keen to try their other more ambitious beers. this is an all day crusher by any measure.
edit: i see the style listing has been corrected (almost 4 years after initial review now), and the beer seems better than i remember it being. crisp as can be, great carbonation, and a little bit of yeast character in a style that usually omits it. versatile food beer too. nice!

So, I'm pretty sure this is a Golden Ale, not an English Pale Ale. That being said, it was a pleasant surprise of a beer. It's an admittedly bland style that I have never really enjoyed, even living in Athens, GA for three years and living with Terrapin's ubiquitous take on the style. They managed to elevate the style, ever so slightly, to make for a very nice, inoffensive session beer that actually has something going on in regards to a flavor profile. I would probably keep a growler of this around the house if I lived in the area.
