Served up on Cask Wednesday, 8/3/11. Poured into a Mug.
Poured a hazy orange with a big, creamy white head that leaves lots of spotty lacing as it recedes. Really a pretty beer! Aromas of...Citra! My favorite hops varietal, love those big, pungent aromas of grapefruit, mandarin orange, pineapple, and pine resin, all backed up by a lightly sweet caramel malt profile. Taste follows the nose closely, lots of delicious Citra hop flavors. Very fresh and pungent. Mouth-feel is medium-thin with lowish carbonation (expected from the cask). I wish the body was a touch thicker so it could stand up to the hops a bit better, as is it's a bit watery. Other then that minor quibble, it's an amazing APA, and I wish it was on tap all the time!
