Half finger head on a hazy amber brown body with decent retention. Aroma of nuts, wood, mild earthy hops and caramel malts. Flavor is fairly unique with lots of earth presence, almost dirt like but not in a bad way. Heavy on nuts with some hints of burnt wood. Medium body and moderate carbonation with a semi dry finish. Wanted a little stronger aroma but otherwise complex and great example of an earthy brown English ale.
