Bottle purchased from the brewery about a month ago. Aged 3 months in French Oak barrels with gooseberries.
A - Poured a translucent pale orange colour with a thin layer of off-white head that immediately disappeared.
S - Sweet breadiness up front with orange zest and a big oak presence. Belgian yeast, spice and a light toffee aroma are also present.
T - Toasted oak comes through up front, followed by Belgian yeast, spice and orange zest notes. The oak lingers in the finish with a touch of astringency.
M - Light to moderate carbonation; creamy. Dry in the finish. Moderate carbonation.
