This brew uses local hand-roasted coffee beans & flaked oats to give it a rich and full-bodied mouth feel. Adding smoked malt gives this beer a complexity reminiscent of morning camp fires while rich chocolate and espresso notes awaken the senses. We highly recommend enjoying this brew (in moderation, of course!) alongside your morning bowl of oatmeal.

Really nice full body stout. Lots of coffee and roasted flavors. The smoke flavor isn't overpowering but is there. It would go nice with bbq or relaxing on a cold night. My bottle was a little older which may of led to the head evaporating quickly. Overall it was everything a full body stout should be.

Got this one from Hopsolutely this past summer. Thanks so much for taking care of this pathetic expat...
From a bomber into a snifter
Smoked breakfast stout
APPEARANCE: A black pour yields a two finger, medium looking, slightly fizzy tan head with very good retention. Black body with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a full cap and leaves touches of lacing on the top of the glass. A ring remains until the end leaving dots down the glass as it empties. Good looking and solid color.
SMELL: Roasted malts, dark chocolate, lightly smoked aromas with some campfire qualities as well. Touch of burnt notes too. Bold and quite well put together.
TASTE: Roasted notes, smoked malts and toffee sweetness up front. More smoked malts at the swallow with a medium but lingering finish of smoked and roasted malts, burnt notes, light dark chocolate and some hop bitterness as well. More smoked malt here than in the nose. A little heavy there, but overall, good stuff.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy enough, a little light perhaps, goes down fine and finishes a touch dry. Some bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Solid, solid brew. Very much enjoyed this. The nose was a little more impressive and well balanced than the flavor, but still, this was a nice brew and I would gladly indulge again if the opportunity arose. Thanks again for the beers guys. This was good stuff.
