Served the traditional West Yorkshire way with a tight creamy head (preferably through an economiser) and with a reddish chestnut hue, it has me salivating before the first sip. It has a hint of sweetness on the tongue with caramel, fruit and a hint of hop. The finish is dry, malty and with enoug bitterness to keep you interested.

A classic dark mild, usually best drunk no further than 4 miles from the brewery. One of the best beers produced by a multinational brewery and a personal favourite of mine - I drank almost nothing else for the seven years I lived in Leeds.
