Smells like blackberry jam but has only a subtle berry flavor. Semi-sweet ale but not overly so

Pours a cloudy gold color with a pretty nice big white head.

Aromas are of berries, cream, and a bit of yeasty spices.

Taste is a bit spicy, with a yeasty, and creamy malt sweetness. Beer then settles into tart light berry flavors, and finishes with a crisp wheat flavor.

Mouthfeel is good. It's pretty full feeling for a lighter style. Has a nice feel in the mouth, without being to heavy.

Drinkability is not bad at all. I'm usually not a big fan of fruit beers, but this one is put together pretty well, it's refreshing and not overly berry flavored.

Like most blondes, this is a light headed and bubbly effort. It is both sunny and slightly clouded and tastes unexpectedly citric and tart. The blackberry essence is scarcely palatable though it’s everywhere in the nose.

Bitterness plays a solid supporting role here though tartness is its defining property. If tartness is your appetite, you’ll find this appealing, but I might suggest a wedge of lemon or orange as a flavor enhancement.

**NOTE** I've placed this in the category of pale wheat ales. It's an imprecise categorization because of the fruit infusion, but should serve its purpose.
