This 22 ounce bottle of Classic Gold was purchased at the brewery.

ABV is 5.0% (it's listed on their website under the PUB MENU section.)

Label describes this as an "English Style golden ale."

A: Golden. One finger bright white head that settles to a ring with some patches left in the center. Some lacing. Beer is very clear. Still. Although the appearance is not off-putting it is reminiscent of a macro-lager.

S: Strong caramel, sweet, slightly toasty, slightly nutty, cooked vegetables. Some spiciness.

T: Just like the smell. Nicely balanced. Hops contribute bitterness but little flavor. Finishes with a very nice mild bitterness.

M: Low-medium to medium carbonation that works great for this beer. Not very substantial in the mouth but not watery. Easy to drink.

O: This is very enjoyable! I would have this again without thinking twice. Extremely refreshing. This would be outstanding on a hot day to quench your thirst.

22 oz. bomber consumed at Castle Lake Campground just outside of Shasta city.

a pretty gold color with a 2" high peak, very solid and clumpy foam, the retention is remarkable and remains so until the end. now, that's retention quality.

Gentle herbs and spices, subtle caramel in the malt with a nice balance of sweet malt and herbal goodness.

A light, bread and buttery malt flavor up-front, but only slightly sweet with a balance of wheat, corn and fresh garden herbs. Gentle spices and veggie-herb effect in the hops. The hop profile is pretty subtle but very effective.

Crispy bite, smooth finish and pretty damn refreshing right now.

This one crosses the line's between pilsner and pale ale with many "English" qualities.
