Draft at the Africa Lounge. Super dark brown, small tight skin of head. Roast grains and chocolate on the aroma. Taste continues, mildly sweet, late bitterness. Lots of chocolate. Smooth Really good cold..

16 oz draft
A good pour here, there is a little over a finger of light brown head on top of a black body. The head is pillowy, not quite creamy. Retention is average. Good looking beer so far.
Smell is relatively dry, with a little chocolate in here as well. Maybe some cocoa too. Pretty strait forward and simple, and not too huge of an aroma, but it smells good. Well balanced. Not too sweet, not too dry. As I smell it more and more, it smells sweeter, but still dry as well.
Taste is nice, quite similar to the aroma. A little chocolatey, dry, but not terribly dry, finishes with a very light bitterness. Slightly on the sweeter side here, but again, just barely. It's a hair watery, but hardly noticeable. Also a tiny bit metallic. With those two off flavors it's close to a 3.75, but they are hardly noticeable, and it's quite tasty right now, so I think I'll go 4.
It's a very light bodied porter, earing on watery. I’m not sure if this is acceptable or not, but I don't mind it much. Carbonation is light, but lively enough. Not a bad mouthfeel, definitely on the light, sessionable side.
Drinkability is quite high, it's tasty and light bodied.
The appearance turned out decent. The head retention was average, and the head itself, while being the perfect size, was also just slightly above average looking. Lacing was patchy, and only covered part of the glass, but in no way bad. Not a bad looking beer, but in no way amazing.
Overall this is a nice beer, pretty strait forward and "safe", but it's good. While it has a few off flavors, they are small, and overall it comes across as a pretty clean beer. Would definitely drink again.

Clean, crisp, goes down easy, but not a lot of taste. Best served ice cold.
