Dark hazy orange color. Orange marmalade flavor, prominent hop funk and pine. Lots of bitterness too. Doesn't seem much like the New England DIPA it's billed as. More like a West Coast reimagining, though I do think it's better than the first couple reviews said. If you're looking for New England style it fails, but as an IPA in a vacuum it's better.

The first packaged product I've ever seen from this Washington stalwart. 12oz can poured an extremely murky dark yellow/light brown color with 1/2 inch of off-white head.
The aroma is mostly fruity hops, but there is a slight, but certainly noticeable, skunk scent as well. Same on the tongue, fruity hops, very light malt, some skunk.
The body is the typical light of the style. Drinkability was a bit of a chore. Overall, a sb-par example of the style. Cannot recommend.

Sweet and woody with an orange marmalade finish. Slightly hazy amber color with plenty of foam in the Troubadour tulip. Canned peach aroma.
Serious sugar and oranges, but it's quite interesting. Hot with alcohol, and it goes nicely with the root beer candy taste. An interesting sip, but the hops are something unusual. Fruity but undefinable. Not very bitter to start but it does leave a dark aftertaste. From the six pack of 12 oz cans purchased in northern Washington.
