this is one of the weaker offerings i have had during my time in washington so far, good thing the other beers i had in here were solid, because this was quite lackluster, and i left a little in my glass at the brewery even, felt bad, but this kolsch needs some serious work. the yeast is the problem i think, its like soapy and stinky at the same time, has an old sponge sort of vibe about it, and while its got peppy carbonation and is plenty dry, its leaves a lot to be desired in terms of cleanness, the aftertaste lingers and this seems flawed to me, maybe done too hot, maybe something even more egregious, but this really did miss the mark for me. its blonde and pretty clear, has a mineral profile to it that shows some promise, and has a fine texture, light and active, but beyond that, i cant get to a place where i feel too positive about anything, its off. hopefully just a bad batch or something, as the others i had in here were all quite good, not sure what happened, but i would avoid this one for awhile...
