Yikes, this is bad! Granted I'm not a Pils guy by any means but this was exceptionally bad. The color is an anemic yellow with a quickly fading head. The nose has a grassy twang to it and not much more. The taste was like green apples (not in the good Lambic sense) and weak hops. <Shutter> Got a Budweiser? Yea, I said that. The mouthfeel is the closest I've seen to tap water.

I knew drinking this would be a bit of a gamble, and I came up snake eyes...oh wait different game...anyhow...this reminds me of a malt liquor in some ways....slight skunkiness on the nose and cooked corn...taste is oversweet like a malt liqour...coarse....body is medium to full for the style..
Gold colored with a white head that laces glass nicely...relatively clear.
I've had worse....I've had better....a bit harsh on the buds but drinkable....not recommended though unless its going for $5 a case or something....then I'd buy a case..
Thanks to Budgood anyhow for the new beer to try...always enjoy trying new material...

pours out a pale straw golden colour, like a hundred other american macros before it. rather substantial head and some lacing. aroma of graininess, hints of real malt but mostly of adjuncts...some grassy notes that imply hops. not bad smelling at all, just the typical macro nose. tastes pretty cheap, rough around the edges, with an underlying creaminess that finishes out with a bitter hop snap. not really all the great tasting, just average to below average within it's style. this is a total marketing gimmick and not worth paying any more than the any other macro offering. i bought it on clearance, but i'm not sure that's any consolation.

Saw this in the store and figured I'd try it. A longneck bottle with a blue labe featuring kings and queens from playing cards. Pop the cap and there's a card underneath, I guess that's the game, although Pabst has been putting cards under its caps for quite some time. Pours a pale straw color with a light fizzy head. Not much aroma, maybe a trace of hops. Tastes like a typical American macrobrew, but with a touch of malt. Finish is...not really a finish. No real aftertaste, and thin in the mouth, too. Try it if you want, but its basically a fairly dull marketing ploy.

Well I'm drinking one of these right now and the thrill has already worn off. I checked my card under the cap, matched it to the other four cards on the label and lost. Or, maybe I won... I don't know, because the website I went to tells you nothing about where this beer is made, or how you win, or If I just won a Porsche... I don't know. I went to pokerbeer.com (on the label) and that directed me to wet planet dot com. These are the same people that distribute DNA alcoholic spring water and JOLT cola! In small letters on the label it says it is bottled by wet planet in Utica, NY. Who the hell brews this thing?
Well, to the beer... It's yellow macro swill. Think Miller High Life.
I guess I lost after all...

I was anything but impressed by this beer as it lacks character. It had a small sized white creamy head with fine-small sized bubbles. The body was clear with carbonation observed and the hue was golden. The nose was malty with some mild hops and the flavor was malty. The mouthfeel was tingly and medium bodied. This beer virtually had no lacing to it.
