Pours a cloudy amber with reasonable off-white foam that devolves to lacing in minutes. Smell is grain & biscuit with a touch of caramel and grassy hops. Flavor starts with malty sweetness and the same touch of caramel. Citrusy hops mix in towards the middle and carries through to the aftertaste. Medium body, maybe a little light for the style, is balanced by enough hops and carbonation to keep from being cloying. Overall, this is a very tasty bock, but on the light side, in color and density of the style.

Brown-copper in color with a two-finger, tan head. Aroma was toasted malty grains, slight caramel and just a hint of fruit cake. Taste is also toasted malty grains, caramel and hints of fruit cake.

Bock beer in general is stronger than your typical lager, more of a robust malt character. Hop bitterness can be assertive enough to balance, though must not get in the way of the malt flavor, most are only lightly hopped.

Pours hazy gold color with a 2 finger thick beige colored foamy head that faded slowly and left good foamy lacing. Smells of caramel, celery, wheat bread, floral notes, grass and faint orange peel. Tastes sweet with caramel, malty aspects like graham cracker and wheat bread, herbs, fresh cut grass, mild grapefruit, earthy notes and tea leaf as it fades. There’s very little carbonation, very mild bitterness and a creamy texture that slides down easy. Quite enjoyable for a malty brew, I crushed this pint in less than 10 minutes.

Costco Pseudo Advent Beer Calendar Day 4. Fairly light color and flavor for a Traditional Bock. Definitely malty and lightly smooth. Good balance but definitely leans a bit sweet. Also contract brewed in Poland.

Klosterbrauerei Neuzelle GmbH "Anas Geheimnisse Bock"
500 ml can coded "07.08.2025. NBL P054070524". Sampled on 07.11.2024
$59.99 / 24 can case - Costco's Biergarten Collection, Costco, Christiana, DE

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a clear deep-amber colored body beneath 25 mm of antigue white colored foam. The head seems to be holding up quite well. In the nose I'm finding a mild, sweet maltiness ith an edge of caramel. The flavor follows with some additional brown sugar, an underlying berry-like sweetness that might be coming from Vienna malts, and some delicate floral and subtly herbal hops. The head has now dropped to a short but completely solid surface covering of creamy foam and the walls of the glass are completely covered in foam. A moderate bitterness balances it and it finishes sweet and caramelish, lingering with the hops coming forward as the malt erodes from the tongue. It's definitely on the sweet side but it works, and although you don't really get the alcohol in the aroma or main taste it is there a somewhat in the finish helping to dry things up. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the fuller end and creamy smooth with a bit of a dextrinous feel. It's not the greatest by any stretch of the imagination but it's quite enjoyable nevertheless.

500ml can from Costco's 2024 Holiday Collection. A Best By date of 7 August 2025 is stamped on the bottom of the can.

Appearance. This bock has a durable white head over a golden body.

The flavor, like the aroma, is markedly more malty than hoppy. Nonetheless,
the bitter-sweet ratio seems just right.

One of the best beers in this 2024 Holiday Collection.

From the half liter can in the 2024 Biergarten Collection from Costco, it pours a solid amber color with a very nice off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. To quote a friend, it smells "perfumy" with evident alcohol. The mouth gets a nicely malty brew that has little aftertaste.

Taste is ok, goes down ok, but nothing special. Maybe better than other bock beers I've had, but still not one I'd go looking for. Feels slightly rough.
This was in Costco's Biergarten box. I'm looking forward to the helles, saving the expected best for last.
So far I think I like the Biergarten box better than the last couple of years beer advent boxes.
