On-tap, snifter.
A: Served a near black/cola brown color with a thick and greasy light tan head that stuck around for a good long while before fading into a thick film. Rings of thick lacing were left down the glass and after each sip.
S: Roasted scents with notes of chocolate and chocolate malt. Pretty straight forward.
T: Very mellow and light flavors of smooth roast, mild chocolate, and hints of caramel and slight dark fruit. I get notes of dates and raisins in the finish, which a touch of vanilla and lingering caramel in the aftertaste. Flavors are definitely on the lighter side, so don't let the dark color fool you.
M: Medium-light body with soft and smooth carbonation. Clean mouthfeel that's not overly watery or overly greasy. Mild bitterness.
O: An easy going porter. Not super in-your-face or overly sweet or tart. Nice dark malt flavors, with no one aspect really standing out.
