This is one of my two standards at EJ Phair. It's a good dry stout served a pitch black with a fairly pungent coffee, chocolate aroma. It's big on the coffee notes. It goes down very clean, slightly ashy and dry. It's a very good, full flavored dry stout. If you're a visitor to the area it's a must try, and if you live here then it's a good ol' faithful.

Deep brown black stout had a very inviting roasted aroma, nice head retention and rings of lace were good visuals. Sharp roasted burnt taste was still very smooth. This one went down very easily and could put a couple away and pass the time. A bit thinnish near the end but can hold it's head high next to another great local stout, North Coast's Old 38
