16oz can from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 4.29. Canned 6/13/18. Served in a Red Brick snifter. Enjoyed 7/7/18.
Pours an opaque, dull pale yellow with just over two fingers of fluffy white head. The foam gradually settles to an uneven central splotch and craggy halo, leaving some impressive webs of lace where the head had rested.
Smells of overripe citrus, some vague tropical notes and a little bread. Some dankness creeps in as it warms.
Tastes of desweetened orange juice, faint pineapple, cracker, a little grass and some dankness.
Soft body with mild carbonation. Dully bitter finish with traces of citrus and tropical fruit pulp.
This is some solid work by Red Brick. There isn’t anything to set In Bloom apart but it os still quite tasty. Wouldn’t mind seeing it return as a seasonal.
