Poured into a snifter. A beautiful copper-rust color on the pour, settling into a dark ruby color in the glass. A medium sized light-tan head formed with a normal pour. The aroma was decadent caramel with some plum and gentle bourbon and vanilla. The booze was there but was not distracting from the other notes. Speaking of decadent - the taste was rich caramel, molasses, and bread, framed by a sturdy bourbon presence. Smooth and silky on the palate. The bitterness was there but also smooth, more like an English barleywine. Overall, a tremendous beer. Thanks to JBowenGeorgia for this one!

Gifted to me recently by a good beer buddy and fellow BA - I actually sort of forgot what it was about this beer that so interested me. But hey, a "lager wine" - I'm interested.
Fairly bowled over by the nose on this beer - it pours a deep rusty red brown, with a tremendously boozy nose. Lots of caramel notes. Wow. What have I gotten myself in to. Taste is rich with bourbon and caramel - surprisingly, it's all sorts of creamy and clean. Not even that much heat present, which is startling. This probably has more head and creaminess than any barleywine I've had thus far. Outstanding.
This is dangerously sweet and drinkable. Tremendously good beer - highly recommended!

Appearance - Pours dark ruby/rust color with nice off white head that quickly settles to a rocky ring around the glass. Few spots of lacing around the glass.
Aroma - Lots of dark fruit plum, raisin, fig, brown sugar, hint of bourbon.
Taste - Dark fruit again dominates plum, raisin, toffee, oak and bourbon. The flavors are all very balanced. The bourbon flavor is there not overwhelming at all. Brown sugar is strong but balanced and adds to the punch of the dark fruit and bourbon for me.
Feel - Really smooth almost creamy feel, soft carbonation medium bodied. Nice warming from the alcohol.
Overall - I am really digging this one, a top BW for me. Excellent flavors very smooth and easy drinking

L - 1-finger butterscotch head atop a maroon body.
S - bourbon, dark fruits, fruit cake, vanilla. Smells like a dessert.
T - Damn. Dark fruits and molasses cake with a bourbon-vanilla glaze. So decadent. Caramel, candied figs, raisins. Low bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Moderate-low booziness.
F - medium-full body with lower carb.
O - If I had known what this tasted like, I would have saved it for Christmas. Tastes like the holidays.

look: Dark copper, ruby highlights. Reddish tan head on the pour that mostly subsides.
smell: subtle dark fruits, vanilla, caramel, hint of bourbon.
taste: Much like the nose but even more, subtle, surprisingly mild. Very easy drinker.

375mL bottle acquired through The Bruery’s Society. Bottled 2/20/18. Served in a Bruery teku. Enjoyed 10/16/18.
Pours an opaque yet glowing, pale, pinkish-hued orange with a short cap of fast-fading white froth. As is typical with many wild/sours there is almost no retention.
This smells great. Tart cherry cider, lemon, earthy barrel and some dark fruit.
Tastes super tart. Puckering cherry limeade, sour wheat, white wine, apple cider vinegar and some dark fruit skins.
Light, vaguely chalky feel with little carbonation. This remains tart through the cherry limeade-like finish.
The Bruery has really dressed up this Beliner. Cherum Stomp combines fruit, base and barrel into a deliciously sour experience. This ills my first experience with the cherry/plum hybrid and it seems to work well here.

On tap at the 2018 Decatur Beer Fest.
Pours with a clear, dark copper body topped with a very good off-white head.
Lightly sweet aroma.
The flavor is also sweet, but not cloying, with hints of roasted nuts and toffee.
Full body with medium carbonation.
Poorly hidden alcohol: this would likely benefit from some aging.

16 oz can labeled as a Lagerwine aged in Buffalo Trace Barrels.
Pours a dark brown, hints of ruby red hues. Minimal white head on the pour.
Smells fantastic, deep bourbon, caramel, toffee, raisins and ripe figs.
Taste follows with a sticky sweet toffee, light vanilla notes from the barrel, raisins and sweet figs again. Such deep well developed flavor.
Smooth body, not too boozy, almost too drinkable for an 11% beer.
Wasn’t expecting much going into this, but after the first sip I knew I had something brewed and barreled extremely well. It’s complex, but simple flavors at the same time. Excellent beer. Regretting just buying one can. Atlanta Brewing Co. is back in form and pushing out wonderful beers.

If you see this stuff and are mystified, buy it. Trust me its fantastic. Very complex yet also very satisfying. I would call it a slightly more drinkable beer, but comparable to Bourbon County Barleywine or Founder s Curmudgeons Better Half. I know, different styles, but as finished products, quite similar. Its damned fine and its nice to see some of the outstanding new stuff coming out of Atlanta now.
