served by JNN while I waited for my pick up order

A-straw colored, no head (but I attribute that to the way it was poured), lacing that stuck around forever

S-Nice citrus and floral hop aromas

T-Taste follows the head, excellent citrus-grapefruit-like flavour

M-light bodied, medium-high carbonation

D-this bad boy was a perfect BBQ beer, and if I hadn't been picking up my food I could have have quite a few of these

I decided to have a brew while I was waiting on my food and it was meant to be that my food wasn't ready as this was an excellent surprise; cheer to JNN for serving in a nonic pint

Draft at Jim & Nick's in Birmingham, Al.

A : Perfectly translucent, straw gold, small white head but some serious amounts of lacing.

S : Light fruity notes, but very minute.

T : A little citrus, orangey, and a hop finish.

M : Light to medium bodied, tons of carbonation, pleasantly dry.

D : Incredibly easy to drink, which I assume is the intention as a restaurant beer, but actually not so bad on the taste. Paired pretty well with the BBQ.

Dark straw color that is crystal clear. Although the head is modest, but there is excellent lace on the glass.

No discernible smell, not even negative ones.

Hoppy and refreshing, this was a beer that went well with the Barbecue I was having in Charleston, South Carolina. Not a remarkable beer, but it did not have any graniness or flaws. The body was decent for the style. The aftertaste was better than expected, nice and spicy.

Had one on tap at Jim & Nick's Barbeque in Charleston, SC. This is supposed to be their house brew. Came to the table in a frosty mug with a clear orangy amber color and a thin white head. Aroma has a faint citrusy hop aroma with some husky grains. Flavor is mostly malt with some residual hop bitterness. Not too bad for a local brew.

Pours a clear orangy amber with a thin white head. Aroma is crisp and malty and has a hint of citrus, mainly orange. Malty flavor has an undertone of orange and a little hoppy bitterness. Texture is milk-smooth, and leaves a nice subtle tingle on the way down.

Served up at the Atlanta Brewing Company when I managed to sneak away from the PC&E sound stage one evening.

Appearance: Clear, effervescent, medium blonde body with a creamy-ish, white head.

Smell: Plenty of light hop accents, some floral, fruity, and even grassy notes set against a light maltiness.

Taste: Mild pale malts, a touch of grains, and a light sweetness. All the hop components from the nose transition into the flavor. Medium, perky bitterness. Small rebound of malts on the tail end of the sip.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: A reasonably tasty, easily drinkable beer that should pair up well with whatever a BBQ joint can throw at it, be it a pulled pork sandwich or Brunswick stew.

Got this on-tap at Atlanta Brewing Company.

Pours a completely clear straw color with a one-finger white head. Carbonation really goes crazy, it bubbles the throughout the life of the beer. Head recedes into almost nothing - there's a slight ring around the glass. Not much lacing.

Smells very grassy. There are other light hop aromas.

Tastes pretty good. Like a grassy wheat beer up front, then the hops take over. Kind of a sweet taste followed by a mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel is alright. It's pretty thin, and as the appearance suggests it's a very carbonated beer. Still manages to go down smoothly though.

This is a pretty drinkable beer. The grassiness tastes better as the beer disappears, and the mild hop taste is pretty solid.

This beer is contracted for Jim 'N Nicks Barbeque, and I don't believe it's available in bottles. If you make it over to Atlanta Brewing Company give it a shot, otherwise you can find it at Jim 'N Nicks.
