Appearance: Dispensed a clear, amber-gold body with a white head that slowly settles into a persistent ring.
Smell: Aroma smelling of lightly toasted bready barley, supplemental oat notes, minor citrus, and a substratal spiciness.
Taste: Lightly crisped barley grains with ample sweetness and rounded out with lightly nutty oats. Faint fruitiness. Lightly floral, citrusy hops with an even fainter woodiness. A bit passive, hopwise. Dry and malty at the end, with a bit of bitterness riding out beyond the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A fine, good beer. While not a monumental or even memorable special release, it did its job well at washing down the Taco Mac Shaved Roast Beef'wich.

On-tap at Taco Mac Metropolis in Atlanta. As Ding mentioned this is a collaboration with Fred Crudder of Taco Mac and Red Brick Brewing. A California Common/Steam Beer at 5.2% ABV.
Pours a clear light copper color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of crisp pale malts with good amounts of earthy hops. Also present are slight pine hop flavors that intensify as the beer warms.
Tastes good. Moderately dry pale malt flavors kick things off and have a crisp lager tinge. Midway through the sip solid amounts of earthy and slightly pine-y hop flavors make an appearance and carry through to a moderately bitter ending. The flavor profile continues to dry though the sip.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with smooth carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass easily and could have another without any problems.
Overall this was an easy-drinking and well-made steam beer, a style that doesn't exactly lend itself to intense flavors. Nothing spectacular but based on Fred's description that's not what they were going for. Moderately hopped and crisp, it's worth a shot.
