Described as an "India Brown Porter". Black IPA's are all the rage, so why not get the jump on other mingled style mongrels.
Appearance: Vad is clouded with suspended particles and presenting a dark brown-amber body. Bubbly, white, albeit small head.
Smell: Mishmash of random notes: coffee, cauterized toast, cocoa powder, understated herbs, and a light fruitiness.
Taste: Minimally sweet tastes of burnt bread crusts, lightly roasty coffee, mild caramel, and powderized chocolate. Spicy, herbal-toned hops with a bitterness in the medium-plus range, though this levels out for the soft finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Lightly carbonated.
Overall: Yeah, I suppose I can see the India Brown Porter nomenclature. A bit muddled, but decent enough that, wait, was this named after former "Good Day Atlanta" host Suchita Vadlamani?
