On tap at Pony Bar. From notes. Reviewed 28 January 2016.

Hazy-clear gold.
Smells like Galaxy. Fruity and light and tropical. An intense citrus zest bitterness.
It doesn't taste very bitter. Huge and flavorful. Light-bodied, but loaded with pineapple and satsuma.
Really drinkable and delicious IPA.

on tap at tørst, been hearing some buzz about this brewery so had to give it a shot...and I was not disappointed. Whilst there are many breweries these days making straight up juice and calling it an IPA (treehouse, trillium, etc)...I welcome another brewery that seems to have mastered the juicy IPA. simply delicious.

Poured out as a golden color with a thin white head on top. The smell of the beer is loaded with hoppy tropical fruit notes. The taste of the beer is nicely balanced between some sweet fruit notes and then some bitterness in the finish. The feel is smooth. Overall it's an outstanding IPA.

Snifter at Ginger Man.
Wow, this beer is fantastic. Soft and delicate but with a tremendous tropical fruit smoothie taste. Drinks like a pale ale, no alcohol at all no less 9%. I would gladly put it up against any Grimm or Tree House IPA.

The beer is tropical fruit for days. Passionfruit, guava, pineapple, mango, juicy oranges. Reminders of the juicy Afterimage come to mind, but this follows with less sweetness than the Grimm. It follows with a light white bready malt, a medium mouthfeel with some creaminess. The finish is clean with a light resiny and piney finish.
This has truly been a fine year for New York's breweries, and this beer puts Bacchus as a contender for the state's best brewery. This might just be the best Double IPA brewed in the Empire State.
