The appearance is a deep coffee color, heading almost to burgundy. The light tan head is large and resistant, preventing me from quickly getting into it.
The smell is very sweet, strong malts, with a mocha-molassas presence lurking in the background.
The taste is not too fabulous and tastes more or less like a watered-down Japanese style "black beer", so there's watered-down roasted coffee and grains, and chocolate. Clean finish, with minimal, watered-down hops. I expected more of a firm mouthfeel, but got more of a watered-down one.
Good drinkability, but nothing to write home about. And I am at home, so it wouldn't make sense to write here anyway.
