This appears to be Suntory's version of Asahi's "super dry". They shamelessly adopt the silver can, as well as the "karakuchi" label. The can has something distinctively 80s about it. It's also textured, which is rad.

The beer looks pretty bad, with only some scummy bubbles to go with the light, clear brew. The smell is slightly sweet.

The taste is...WOW! KARAKUCHI! No, I'm not really that impressed. It's very different from Asahi though, far sweeter, with an apple sweetness. The mouthfeel is sharp and grabs at the tongue and the throat--the highlight of the drink. The finish is surprisingly clean. Little hops, faint grain presence.

Not too shabby! Good work Suntory! It doesn't taste unlike Carlsberg, which Suntory makes under license...interesting..
