Okay, again the expectations were set a bit too high for a Japanese beer. The very first sip into it was slightly misleading, for reminding me of the real American IPAs but soon came back down to Earth because unfortunately the beer doesn’t know that much. It is okay as one but misses 1. the craft feeling of the beer and 2. the quality and taste of the ingredients. We are talking about a commercial product, forgot to say, and as such, it is much better than any of the other products Suntory has on the market. These major companies come out with a “craft” venture once a year (usually in summer) and as quick as they came, they are gone without leaving a lasting impression. Not really good, but not really bad, well made but nothing original - a mediocre try, like most of the things in Japan, without a venture into creativity.
