What was I expecting? I don’t know… Was fooled by “The Lager” and thinking it might be close to one? Maybe.
The thing is, it smells and tastes quite similar to a real lager, but it could do a bit better than this. This beer has been PRed quite a bit but I think the smoke was bigger than the flame. Still I was not utterly disappointed.
BTW my wife asked me why I drink such poor quality cr@p and TBH the thing is that since “proper” Japanese beers are mostly cr@p too, higher quality happoshu like this might taste almost the same as what they would classify “a beer...” So, since both of them are mediocre at best, I will go with the cheaper one ;)
