Okay what was it with the Premium Malts? (sorry, Malt’s) The thing is quite a weird beer they call a pilsner (not in Japan though, here no beers have a label, just fancy names…)
Premium Malts though have been having quite a few iterations recently where - like with the fresh hop version - it turned into something you can actually enjoy. Now this time they call it a Gran Aroma. Yes, you might have guessed, they use aroma hops to make a difference - which it does not though, although the new beer is quite smooth and yes there is some sort of aromatic thing going on. No bitterness though, no Saaz-like hop flavors. What you get though is the feeling that hey it is almost like a real beer! Unlike your average Japanese beer! It is almost ale-like I might say…
Anyhow, it is quite an okay beer. Not outstanding, not great, just okay. A pity that it needs to be a limited edition run. They could make this a staple.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
