William Penny Brooks: is where the WPB comes from. He was the founder of the Wenlock Olympian Society: his picture is on the 500ml bottle I have in front of me.
Best before the end of Oct 2012: poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 9th May 2012.
Pale amber body, bright, clean and clear: full off-white head on top.
Good healthy nose of orange/grapefruit citrusy notes with malty molasses in the background.
The taste is a reverse of the aroma: malts ruling the roost with the hoppy citrus flavours arriving towards the end of each sip or gulp.
Well balanced and easy to drink: another good beer from a fine brewery.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
