Brewed for the Queens Diamond Jubilee in 2012. 600 Bottle Limited Edition - 100 bottles for each Diamond decade.
My review is one of those 600 bottles produced: 500ml BBD end of May 2013. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 14 Jun 2013,some two weeks later than the brewery recommended.
Dull amber body with a full white foaming head. I might have given the beer a chill haze, as I'd had it in the fridge a bit longer than I intended too.
Mild malt nose with a herb hop, nutty note.
Spritzy and crisp: hop front with a roasted malt middle, the hops reappearing to give a mini-bitter finish.
The best of the 'Diamond Jubilee' special brews that I had: sadly that doesn't say much because they were a pretty poor bunch on the who
